# Re-issue a payment request

If a deposit amount changes after an offer has been created, you can re-issue the payment request to the buyer. This works only where the deposit has not been fully paid.

The same process applies where a buyer has made a part payment and you need to re-issue a request for the remaining balance.

> **Important:** Re-issuing a payment request does not change the total deposit amount on the offer. If the total is not updated as well, the deposit will not reconcile correctly at settlement. See step 4.

### Step 1: Select Re-issue

Open the relevant workspace. In the **payment request** section of the offer, select the three dots, then select **Re-issue**.

### Step 2: Enter the new amount

The re-issue payment request box opens. Enter the **new amount to request**, then click **Send**

### Step 3: The buyer receives the updated request

Your buyer receives an updated deposit request email showing the new amount. The re-issued request appears in the payment request section of the offer.

### Step 4: Update the total deposit amount

The re-issued request does not update the total deposit amount on the offer. If you re-issued before editing the offer, [follow the edit offer process here](https://help.trustport.com/editing-a-offer?hsLang=en-au)to update the total.

Until the total is updated, the deposit will not be reconciled correctly for settlement.
